The history of Zaporizhzhia Bread Factory No. 5
The history of Zaporizhzhia Bread Factory No. 5 can be traced back to the late 1978. The factory has a production capacity of 115 tons per day and is equipped with six mechanized production lines, including three for rye bread, one for formed bread, and two for rye-wheat bread.
The factory’s main focus is on producing bakery products, both in large-scale production and small batches of unique items. It combines traditional methods with modern bread-making technologies and offers a variety of products including the premium “Khortytsky” bread, the first-grade “Primorsky” Zaporizhzhia rye-wheat bread, “Ukrainian Tavriiskyi” rye bread, “Borodinsky” rye bread, and “Old Slavonic” good quality bread.
In the early 1990s, the factory underwent a planned reconstruction, modernizing its production area for bun products. With investment in modern production equipment from Poland and Slovenia, the factory was able to adopt new technologies, diversify its product range, and achieve high-quality standards.
Recently, a new automated line from Belgium was introduced for producing formed bread, using European baking technology, marking the factory as an innovator in Ukraine.
The enterprise is currently preparing to implement a quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2000 international standards, with a primary focus on the Zaporizhzhia market and neighboring regions. Its main partners include large trading networks such as “TK Kit-1”, “ATB Market”, “Fozzy Ostu”, and others.
Presently, the factory produces around 50 types of bakery products, all made from high-quality natural ingredients without the use of chemical enhancers or preservatives. It also offers dietary products to cater to specific nutritional needs.
A notable achievement is the factory’s elite line of bakery products called “8 Cereals”, which incorporates a variety of natural ingredients known for their therapeutic and preventive properties, such as improving cognitive activity, strengthening the nervous system, and enhancing heart and circulatory function.
Overall, “Zaporizhzhia Bread Factory No. 5” is focused on long-term development and aims to fully satisfy consumer needs rather than pursuing short-term gains.
